The challenge was to visit Hughes stores at the most northerly, westerly, southerly and easterly parts of England.

The initial target was to raise £5000, that target has now been tripled.

It started in Preston, most northerly/westerly before heading to Rayleigh, furthest south, then finishing in Lowestoft.

Nigel said: "Tackling the 450 miles was not without its challenges, particularly when we rode across the Peak District with some pretty intimidating hills, but we knew it was all for a good cause so we just had to keep going.

"Of course, we are thrilled at smashing our original fund raising target and knowing the money will be put to very good use."

Kirsty Pitcher, The Benjamin Foundation Chief Operating Officer said: "The incredible fundraising by the Hughes team will help us to provide more emotional wellbeing and mental health support for young people across all of our services, including in our supported accommodation settings.
