Santa’s Sleigh Run in Heacham

Santa took to the streets of Heacham on Friday night to deliver Christmas presents to those nominated by people in the village.

It was the second year of Santa’s Sleigh Run, sponsored by the Heacham Youth and Community Trust.

Residents were invited to let the organisers know who they would like to nominate for a visit from Santa’s Sleigh and all his Elf helpers, who dropped off gifts to lucky recipients.

This year’s list closed at end of day Thursday to give Santa time to work out his route, with the sleigh leaving the village Post Office in the High Street at 5pm.

The first year saw more than 150 presents delivered and Santa said his Elves had never worked so hard, but this year an impressive 200 parcels were delivered.

The presents are funded from some of the proceeds made at the Heacham Youth and Community Trust’s Charity Shop in Heacham High Street. The organisers would like to thank all those involved who have made this event such a huge success and a high point in the community’s festive calendar.
