Employees at the North Lynn Industrial Estate dressed up as Santa this week – all in the name of charity.
Medical device company, Bespak, hosted the ‘Bespak Santa Run’ event, which saw 40 participants painting the estate red as they ran 2km in full Santa garb to raise funds for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) which supports families and cares for life-threatened children and young people.
Participants paid £10 to take part in the event, which included a Santa suit complete with red jacket, trousers, hat and fluffy white beard. Everyone who completed the Bespak Santa Run got a medal and a mince pie as a reward for their efforts.
Keyvan Djamarani, managing director at Bespak, said: “EACH was Bespak Charity of the Year for 2014-2015 and a number of events were planned throughout the year to promote awareness and fundraise.
“As a company, Bespak wanted to continue an association with EACH to help continue to raise funds. Also, it’s a great fun event and was enjoyed by all those who took part.”
James Bacon, EACH Norfolk Corporate Fundraiser, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have the continued support of Bespak which helps us to raise vital awareness and funds in King’s Lynn and surrounding areas.
“Santa Runs are a great way to have fun and celebrate Christmas while supporting a vital local charity.
“Funds raised from this event will ensure we can continue to deliver our services to life-threatened children, young people and their families.”
