Engineers, forensic scientists and a member of the team behind a world land speed record attempt have all dropped in to help inspire a village school’s pupils in science.
A science fair was held for the first time at the Southery Primary last Friday, following a week of specially themed activities.
Headteacher Julian Goodrum said the event had been very successful and they hope to stage more in the future.
He said: “The idea was to learn more about science, inspire the children about science and have fun along the way.”
Guests included Mike Ford, a member of the Bloodhound land speed record team, aeronautical engineer Ewen Meacham and forensic scientist Michelle Casey.
Mr Ford also led a session on rocket-powered cars and encouraged groups to see how far their own vehicles could travel.
