Pupils and teachers at Brancaster CE Primary Academy celebrated the school’s 160th anniversary.

They held a blessing ceremony for a tree planted for the Platinum Jubilee.

Alongside the anniversary, the primary school also celebrated its Year 6 pupils who are leaving for high school. The youngsters cut a joint anniversary and leavers’ cake.

Mrs Lake has played a significant role in the school’s history, being not only a pupil but also a parent of children attending the school, a governor, member of staff and a well-loved friend of the school.
