Search continuing for missing man, 75, last seen at Brancaster




Emergency crews are searching for an elderly man who went missing while walking on the West Norfolk coast yesterday afternoon.

Police, Coastguard and Lifeboat teams are looking for the 75-year-old, who was last seen heading from Brancaster towards Titchwell at around 5.10pm yesterday.

It is understood the man, who has not been named, was on a walk with members of his family at the time.

Jordan Grebby, of HM Coastguard, said: "An extensive search was carried out across the Brancaster and Titchwell area overnight.

"The Coastguard rescue teams searched the land and sea front while the lifeboat took on inlets and creeks and the helicopter shoreline and creeks.

"At just before 2am today that search was suspended but is now underway again."

A search and rescue helicopter from Humberside also joined the initial search.
