A second public consultation session on a proposed Lottery funding bid to restore Hunstanton’s Heritage Gardens will take place in the resort tomorrow.
Residents will be able to give their views on the plan at the Golden Lion hotel, on The Green, from 11am to 3pm and between 5 and 7pm.
A detailed bid for a Heritage Lottery Fund grant to renovate an area centred around The Green and the adjoining network of public open spaces, including Esplanade Gardens and Cliff Parade, is currently being prepared.
Tomorrow’s sessions are intended to give residents the chance to share their views and memories of the area.
An initial consultation session was held last Thursday and more than 80 people have already completed a questionnaire on the issue.
Paul Beal, West Norfolk Council cabinet member for Coast and Tourism, said: “This is an exciting project for the town.
“It’s really important that people will take part in the consultation so that we know what they think and can feed this into the designs.”
The questionnaire can be found online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/hunstantonheritage, while paper copies are also available at several locations around the town.
