In our weekly Memory Lane Schooldays feature, we take a look back at a school’s cricket team’s success 44 years ago…
Progress made by Lynn’s King Edward VII School cricket team in the 1981 Lord’s Taverners under-15 national competition came to an end in May.
They were beaten by the Harry Carlton School, county champions of Nottinghamshire, in the second round match played at the KES ground.
Carlton reached 147-2 in their 40 overs and in reply KES were bowled out for 87.
KES were the Norfolk representatives, having won the county cup at Under 14 level the previous season.
