Hundreds of wellwishers packed into the heart of Lynn today to see the town’s Air Cadets squadron exercise its freedom of the borough for the first time.
The honour was bestowed on the group by West Norfolk Council last year and paraded in King’s Staithe Square this lunchtime.
Civic and military leaders gathered for the occasion, which also saw the launch of a new Spitfire trail around the town. Our video shows borough mayor Colin Manning inspecting the parade before taking the salute,
The celebrations, which also included two flypasts, also coincide with a 1940s themed event in the Tuesday Market Place.
