There was an emotional farewell to KL.FM presenter Adam Newstead on Friday morning as he presented his final breakfast show before leaving the station.
Mr Newstead, 31, announced he was leaving the job earlier this month.
He is now set to take up a senior role with the Global Radio group, where he will be based in Norwich.
Tributes during his final show included a surprise on-air presentation by West Norfolk’s mayor, Barry Ayres.
Later, during the celebration event to mark the start of the town’s light festival in the Tuesday Market Place, he said he was “genuinely heartbroken” to be leaving.
And he thanked listeners for their support during his five years with the station.
He said: “Maybe one day I’ll come back.
“For those of you I haven’t met before, don’t underestimate how much that has meant to me, your loyalty.”
Current hometime host Simon Rowe will be taking over the breakfast show from tomorrow morning.
