Lynn’s rich maritime heritage and international trade future were brought to the fore during a spectacular three days of Hanse celebrations.
Business leaders drove ideas on how to develop the area’s overseas trade links at an inaugural Hanse Business Convention on Friday, before Lynn’s colourful Hanseatic heritage was brought to life with a host of attractions on Saturday and Sunday.
A 14th-century replica Hanseatic trading ship sailed into the docks to herald the start of celebrations, as a parade wound its way through the streets to lead revellers to the waterfront and the town’s historic heart.
Hundreds of people turned out for the festivities, enjoying a packed programme of events including medieval demonstrations, firebreathers, music, food and drink and a magnificent fireworks display along the waterfront.
Our video shows the parade making its way through the streets of Lynn on Saturday.
