Road closures on A149 Wells Road at Burnham Overy for surface dressing works start this month
A series of road closures will be in place along a village road as improvement work gets under way.
Work is due to start on Thursday, April 26 to surface dress a section of the A149 Wells Road at Burnham Overy.
To allow the work to be carried out safely and swiftly, Norfolk County Council says it will be necessary to close the road to through traffic on a number of dates when the surfacing starts, line painting is being carried out, and cat’s eyes (road studs) are being renewed.
Access to properties will be maintained at all times.
The work, which is weather dependent, will be carried out in phases, with any road closures only in place for a number of hours at a time on the following dates:
- April 26 (road stud removal): Evening/overnight works 7pm-6am, road closure
- May 16 (surface dressing): Daytime 9am-4pm road closure
- May 24 (road marking replacement): Evening/overnight works 7pm-6am, road closure
- June 24 (road stud replacement): Evening/overnight works 7pm-6am, road closure
