Shabby playhouse given new lease of life at West Winch Primary School back in 2013

In our latest Memory Lane Schooldays column, we look back to 2013...

A shabby playhouse was opened in July 2013 after being given a new lease of life, thanks to Year 1 pupils at West

Winch Primary School.

They had been working on the project since Easter, when they began writing letters asking for help. Then they got to

work painting the playhouse and planting the surrounding garden.

This picture shows a happy Frances Ford who was given the honour of cutting the ribbon, with help from fellow pupils Ben Youngs and Alfie Meads.

Teacher Susannah Mitchell praised the children for their hard work and added: “They had a lovely time working on the

project and were so excited about it.”
