She Go Does It Under the Christmas Tree With Friends, Theatre Royal Norwich

Karl Minns is back as one of his most popular characters, She Go, from Norwich’s Larkman estate. Karl, best known as one half of the satirical comedy duo, the Nimmo Twins, is as sharp as ever as his character reviews Norfolk’s year, finding some of the most weird and wonderful news stories.

She Go, still in her tracksuit bottoms, pokes fun, as always, at Londoners, people from Ipswich, people from King’s Lynn – in fact, just about anyone is fair game. Look East’s Mike Liggins has a very amusing sketch about him!

As you would expect, many of the stories are pretty filthy but funny, and there is a guest appearance from another character, Cyril from Brancaster, a country boy with a passion for fly tipping.

It’s all clever stuff: sharp observations about Normal for Norfolk life – and I especially enjoyed the ‘time telling’ story involving a new clock at Norwich railway station, and Carrow and Balls – a new range of Norfolk-inspired paint colours. I say no more!

It was great to be back inside the theatre, for the first time in about nine months. It was well organised and felt safe.

The show runs along with Panto in a Pickle and A Circus Carol until December 23 Visit www.norwichtheatre.org for more.
