Deputy headteacher Rebecca Starman said: "The whole school took part. They were really excited about it and they all looked gorgeous in their Christmas jumpers today.

"Throughout the week we have been raising money for Nelson's Journey, which parents voted for on Facebook.

"Our whole curriculum is centred around 'making a difference' so we have been doing events like a nativity service and Years 3 and 4 have been doing carol singing in town.

"We have emptied everyone's pockets! We know that it's been a hard year so we didn't want to set a target.

"The parents got on board.

"It's been a hard time because of Covid and the parents and children have been amazing."
