A reception class at Gayton Primary Academy were visited by the Pizza Slice Guy for a lesson in pizza making.

Before the children broke up for the Easter holidays they had a cookery session that was both fun and educational with members of the company which is owned by Danny and Lucy Child, from Lynn.

Reception teacher Jo Edwards said: "I suggested the visit as my class were learning about food from around the world and so the Pizza Slice Guy brought the van on to the playground and the children made their own pizzas.

"Members of the team showed the children around the van, taught them about hygiene, what the temperature of the oven must be and how they had to cook it.

"My reception class recently enjoyed celebrating the end of their food topic with a visit from The Pizza Slice Guy.

"I know the Pizza Slice Guy is a small family business and hopefully it would give him the recognition he and his team deserve as it was such a wonderful event and he went above and beyond for our children and staff.

Danny said: "They asked if we'd be interested in doing it as it's fun for the children and it's fun for us. It is just fun to be interactive with the children."
