Six people arrested after illegal rave in Methwold pig shed
Six people were arrested and sound equipment seized after an unlicensed music event in Methwold at the weekend.
Police were called shortly before midnight on Saturday June 18 by a member of the public reporting suspicious activity on land off Mundford Road in Methwold.
Shortly after 4am officers discovered approximately 100 people in a former pig shed with music being played intermittently.
Police vehicles were used to close entrances to the site to prevent more vehicles from entering, and officers monitored the event throughout the early hours of the morning before equipment and vehicles were seized.
Shortly after 11am on Sunday June 19, officers arrested two men aged in their 30s, a boy aged in his late teens and a man and woman aged in their 20s at the site in connection with the event. They were taken to Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning. The woman has been released under investigation and the four other suspects have been released on police bail until 30 June 2022.
A man aged in his 20s from Cambridgeshire was arrested at the scene for breaching a court order and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation. He was remanded into custody to appear in court at a later date.
