Hunstanton Slimming World consultant wins 'sparkling' award

By Julie Graham, Business Editor

Slimming consultant Jo Jackson has won awards for her dedication inhelping people in Hunstanton to lose weight.

Jo who runs both the Hunstanton and Lynn Football Group Slimming World groups every week, was presented with a prestigious Diamond Award by Slimming World founder Margaret Miles-Bramwell and TV presenter Ore Oduba at the slimming organisation’s annual national awards ceremony last month.

Jo recently became one of Slimming World’s Diamond consultants, awarded in recognition of achieving the highest levels of support for slimmers. She was one of a group of just four of Slimming World’s 5,500 consultants to receive a Diamond Award this year.

Jo says: “I’m delighted to have received this award, and it feels even more special in Slimming World’s 50th birthday year.

“It’s not just a triumph for me but also for the 120 members in the Hunstanton morning group because alongside Diamond we also collected a Gold award recognising members' commitment to their weight loss.

“Members across my three groups have lost an amazing 8,072lb so far this year, that’s 576 stone, and each week as members lose weight, I see them growing in confidence. I see them transforming their health, becoming more active, trying out new foods and recipes, and finding the courage to take on challenges that they’ve always dreamed of."
