A chef from West Norfolk has made it into the television spotlight after winning a place in the semi-finals of MasterChef: The Professionals.
Ollie Boddy who works as a sous chef at the Briarfields Hotel in Titchwell, won through the opening rounds of the BBC Two series when it returned for a new series last week.
And he will be back on our screens next month as the competition nears its climax.
Ollie, 25, who lives in Snettisham, has been working in the food industry for the past nine years and said he had been interested in cooking from a young age.
But he admitted that cooking in the competition was a “nerve-racking” experience.
He said: “I entered to see what I could really do. I wanted to improve myself as a person and improve my skills and knowledge.
“I’d just like to make a name for myself in Norfolk. It’s something I’ve been inspired to do.”
Ollie’s semi-final is due to be screened on December 2.
