Ward Gethin Archer solicitors donate funds to Riding for the Disabled Association
Ward Gethin Archer’s Downham office has donated £200 to West Norfolk's Riding for the Disabled Association based at The Magpie Centre.
Staff from the solicitors' office raised £141 with a tombola stall at Downham Carnival and Fun Day and increased the total to £200 themselves.
Rosie O'Grady, chairperson at the Magpie Centre said: “We rely entirely on voluntary help, as well as donations and legacies to deliver our services and are most grateful for the generous support from the staff at Ward Gethin Archer. With the donations we receive, we are able to run activities such as riding and carriage driving for all age groups and, wherever possible, for people with any disability.”
West Norfolk Riding for the Disabled has been operating at the Magpie Centre from Wallington Hall for over 30 years and gives up to 130 riding and carriage driving lessons a week to people of all ages and abilities, supported by over 50 volunteers who help in lessons, with the ponies, with field maintenance and fundraising.
Anyone wishing to volunteer to assist the RDA or make a donation should ring the centre on 01553 810202.
Director and residential conveyancer at Ward Gethin Archer’s Downham office, Adrian Long said: “As a firm with an office in Downham, we are really pleased to be able to help such an inspiring organisation in our own local community.”
Ward Gethin Archer opened its Downham office in February 2018.
