A Big Brekkie event held in the new South Creake Memorial Pavilion on Saturday raised £648.53 for Christian Aid.
More than 70 diners enjoyed the event, which was an early start to fundraising efforts ahead of Christian Aid Week, which begins on May 15.
Church warden Alison Wakeman, who had the idea of hosting the breakfast, thanked everyone who attended to support the effort.
She said: “We were very, very busy. We were overwhelmed by the response.
“Last year we organised a door-to-door collection the village. Because of that the Christian Aid regional organiser, Julian Bryant, wondered if there was different way could raise money for the charity.”
Mr Bryant, who travelled from his home in Norwich to support the effort, added: “We work in over 40 countries, which are some of the poorest in the world where poverty is caused by natural disasters, earthquakes, famine, floods, war and climate change.”
