12th King's Lynn Scout Group Squirrels & Beavers hold Platinum Jubilee party at Sandringham House front lawn
Squirrels & Beavers from the 12th King's Lynn Scout Group had a royal day out when they held their Platinum Jubilee party and picnic on the front lawn at Sandringham House on Saturday.
Some 37 children and 14 adults were involved. Squirrels are aged four to six and Beavers six to eight.
The group played games, read stories and even when the great British weather intervened they gathered under a giant tarpaulin.
Squirrels & Beavers leader Tracey Clark plus group scout leader Jamie Twell attended, and the former said: "The children were completing Norfolk Jubilee Platinum Challenge Awards.
"Also at our headquarters we made crowns, placemats and flags and took them to the picnic.
"On a walk we saw a bench for the Silver Jubilee and we explained all about that.
"It was a lovely day and really special. All of them got a goody bag when they went home.
"We were the first Squirrels group in Norfolk."
