Long service awards presented to staff at Meadow House nursing home in Swaffham

Staff members at Meadow House nursing home in Swaffham have been thanked for their dedication and commitment over years of service.

At the end of November, the team members, who have each worked at the home for between five and 20 years, were presented with gifts and certificates by home manager Joanna Jankowska.

An afternoon of celebration was held when the home’s kitchen assistant Mary made a lemon cake for staff and residents, who had made personalised artwork for each person. Activities coordinator Charlotte wrote a special poem which was read out by residents, Sarah and Thomas.

Receiving five year awards were Renata Bak, nurse; Carol Watts, night carer; Jo-Anne Elfleet, night carer; Laura Patrick, night carer; Luke Webb, care assistant.

Ten year awards were given to Antonia Ulase and Tracey Gardner, both domestic assistants.

Fifteen year awards went to Denise Hudson, domestic assistant and Paul Dales, chef.

Care assistant Terry Charlton was presented with an award for 20 years service. award.

Manager Joanna said: “It was a real pleasure and privilege to spend the afternoon thanking and celebrating our fantastic team members for all their hard work and dedication over the years.

“We often talk of ‘the Meadow House family’ and that’s really something we’re proud of. Our team is so committed to the home and our residents, and I’m extremely grateful to each and every person for making it such a special place, with the wellbeing of residents at the heart of everything they do.”
