Still time to vote in Your Local Paper’s 2024 Local Hero Awards





The deadline to nominate heroes from all walks of life is fast approaching – but you have still got time to have your say.

The Your Local Paper Local Hero Awards are set to honour inspiring people from our area once again this year.

February 23 is the last day to have your say, with the deadline at 5pm, and there are still plenty of categories that you can nominate in:

- Young Person of the Year: Recognising the best of the best under 18 years of age who have done something incredible in the last year.

- The Chris Bamfield Lifetime Achievement Award: Who has lived an amazing life and deserves to be recognised for it?

- Neighbour of the Year: Recognising incredible neighbours who know what ‘community’ means.

- Triumph over Adversity Award: This award is to recognise those people who have been through a terrible time and turned their situation into something positive.

- Health Professional of the Year: Who has gone above and beyond to care for us when we are sick?

- Carer of the Year: For those amazing carers who really touch the lives of others.

It is really easy to nominate. Simply visit the YLP website and go to the Hero tab to have your say.

If you are unable to vote online, call Your Local Paper on 01553 611111 between 9am and 1pm.

The Local Hero Awards will be held at Lynn’s Corn Exchange.
