Travel disruptions likely as Storm Éowyn hits Norfolk with 50mph winds

Norfolk is bracing for strong winds of up to 50mph as Storm Éowyn sweeps across the county.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind which will be in place from 5am to 3pm on Friday.

The storm is expected to bring disruption to road, rail, air, and ferry transport as delays are likely.

Coastal areas could face large waves and spray and short-term power outages and service disruptions are also possible.

High-sided vehicles may experience difficulties on exposed routes and bridges while some bus and train services may face delays or cancellations.

The Met Office has advised residents to check travel conditions before setting out and to adjust plans if necessary.
