Students from Downham Market Academy hold Christmas card competition and give festive greetings to care home residents

Students from Downham Market Academy spent a “lovely” morning with care home residents handing out Christmas cards in different languages as part of the school’s competition.

Seven students from Years 9 and 10, alongside MFL teacher Beth Walpole, walked down to High Haven Care Home to deliver the cards to residents

It was part of a Christmas card competition held by the school’s language department where students had to design a greeting card in another language with the chance of winning first second or third place.

Miss Walpole said: “The cards made were beautiful and all students had made such a lovely effort.

“The students had the opportunity to chat with the residents, explain the Christmas card competition and wish everybody a Merry Christmas.
