Caitlin Sheridin, a senior student at Lynn’s Studio 19, will soon take her dance ambitions to a new level.
In September she will start a three-year BA degree course in theatre dance at the prestigious London Studio Centre.
“I just love dancing, and singing and acting,” said 18-year-old Caitlin, who first started dancing when she was just four at the Footlights in Lynn (now Studio 19).
“My aim is to get on to the stage in the West end, but I would also live to teach dancing.”
A former student at Lynn’s Springwood High School, Caitlin is currently on a gap year.
She has been helping voluntarily at Studio 19 and last month was one of the dancers joining Strictly Come Dancing star Pasha Kovalev in his Life Through Dance sell-out show at Hunstanton’s Princess Theatre.
Caitlin’s love of the stage and music comes from her family, with her mother and grandmother both Irish dance exponents and her grandfather was an actor.
Studio 19 co-founder Josh Wille said: “Caitlin has worked so hard for the past 10 months on preparing for her auditions and we are so pleased that this work has been rewarded. We are extremely proud of her achievements and look forward to seeing her growth through her professional training.”
