Following a two year hiatus, Heacham Parish Council arranged the floats and the committee at the Sports and Social Club organised the fete on the field.
It featured two carnival queens, one lavender queen, Claire Wilson who represented the parade and Ruby Bates to reflect the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
The carnival had four lavender princesses, Isabella Joyce, Edie Hammond, Isla Nally and Felicity Wilding on the floats in their finery.
Carri Pishorn from Heacham Sports and Social Club said: "It was absolutely brilliant, we had 25 volunteers so we pulled off a great day.
"It was busy and we were very lucky with the weather which we seem to be lucky with every year."
The parade left College Drive at lunchtime and arrived at the football field where in the morning there was a large car boot sale.
Colourful costumes and floats included the Heacham Minors football club, Razz the clown entertaining the children, various games and bouncy castles, a craft tent with stalls and gazebos featuring the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and the Royal British Legion.
Stalls were also on show to bring awareness to hedgehogs, guide dogs and the Royal Air Force with music during the day provided by DJ Simon Rowe.
A funk band called the East Angles performed on the field and Liz Liddington, clerk's assistant at Heacham Parish Council, said: "We were very happy that we had such a good turn out.
"There were a lot of people lining the street and waving and on the field watching the band play."
The day included community groups and colourful fancy dress with a demonstration of judo.
Rollasons dance group and the lionesses from Heacham Minors girls' football team took part.
Onlooker Janice Curtice commented on the Heacham Village Group Facebook page and said: "Loved the parade today!
"What a fabulous turn out.
"The young footballers had it all going on, especially the girls' truck, 'it's coming home, it's coming home' they were chanting with gusto.
"I was great to see the parade again after a two year break, thank you to all who took part and organised the fete on the sports field.
"With the gorgeous weather as an added bonus, thank you.
"I do hope the folk I heard as I walked by saying let's do one next year keep their promise."
The organisers are indeed planning next year's carnival and have booked the band, the East Angles in advance.
Visitor Jo Fyson commented on Facebook and said: "We all enjoyed the carnival and the fun day.
"Thank you to the organisers. "
