Morrisons which has stores in King's Lynn and Fakenham launches meat-free Christmas treats

Morrisons, which has stores in Lynn and Fakenham, is launching a range of meat-free Christmas treats for vegan and vegetarian customers.

The new range includes no-pigs in blankets, no-prawn tempura and no-duck spring rolls – designed to look and taste just like the real thing.

Morrisons foodmakers and chefs have been developing the recipes since January this year aiming to make them as close to the meat alternatives as possible.

Both Morrisons No-Pigs in Blankets and the selection pack of No-Prawn Tempura and No-Duck Spring Rolls cost £2.50 per pack of 10.

Tom Coldman, buying manager at Morrisons said: “They say if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck... well not this year at Morrisons. We’ve listened to our customers who told us they want to see more choice through the festive season and look forward to seeing these vegan twists on plates up and down the country this year.”
