Suspended sentence for Narborough man over Swaffham assault

A Narborough man who attacked someone outside a Swaffham pub has received a suspended jail sentence.

John Shirley, 42, “repeatedly assaulted” the man who had intervened in an argument between Shirley and his partner.

Shirley, of Sandy Road, was back before magistrates in Lynn on Thursday, having pleaded guilty to actual bodily harm at an earlier hearing. The incident took place on November 4, 2018.
