Sutton Bridge: Two people injured in six car crash on A17

Police say two people sustained minor injuries in this morning's six car crash on the A17 near Sutton Bridge.

The A17 was shut in both directions following the accident between Sutton Bridge swing bridge and the Walpole Cross Keys turn off.

The accident was reported shortly before 10.15am and the road was closed until 1.30pm.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue used hydraulic cutting gear to free one casualty.

Fire and rescue crews from Spalding, Holbeach and Long Sutton went to the scene and have made the vehicles safe.
