New volunteers are urgently needed to help staff a recently-opened charity shop in Swaffham, officials say.

The East Anglian Children’s Hospices (EACH) opened the Market Place branch in April, but have now launched an urgent appeal for additional helpers.

Manager Harriet McBride said: “We’ve got a loyal customer base already, but we’re very stretched at the moment as we don’t have enough volunteers.

“I particularly need volunteers to help out in the afternoons.”

“It’s a great place to make new friends and learn new skills or hone existing ones while helping raise funds to make a real difference to local life-threatened children, young people and their families.”

Anyone interested in helping is urged to contact the shop on 01760 720799.
