A scrapbook chronicling the activities of a Swaffham community group has scooped a national prize.

The Swaffham Lionesses club won the competition among Lioness groups across the country at the movement’s conference in Maidstone.

The book, complied by Anne Dryden, recorded all the club’s activities during the term of office of former president Christine Haines.

Acting president Susan Ashford led the club’s delegation to the conference.

In recent weeks, the group has helped to serve refreshments at blood donor sessions in the town and at the Alzheimer’s cafe.

They also joined Lions club members for a dinner at the College of West Anglia’s catering school in Lynn.
