And officials are hoping to build on the success they enjoyed in 2017.

A council spokesman said: “We had great feedback from last year and this year looks to be even bigger and better.”

As well as the display of classic cars, attractions will include a car-related auction run by C&R Auctions, a display by the Swaffham Raceway, fair rides and a Get Into Golf promotion led by The Swaffham Golf Club.

The club will be offering a range of games for visitors to have a go at.

Other highlights will include a car boot, stalls and refreshments including a goat curry and bar and a lucky number competition based on the event’s programme, which is already available. Prizes of £200 and £50 are on offer.

The event is due to be opened by town crier Nigel Wilkin at 10am, with the auction getting underway at 11am.

Classic car entries are due to be judged at around 2pm, with prizes presented from 3pm.
