Charity officials in Swaffham have thanked shoppers for their support after hundreds of pounds were raised during a street collection last weekend.

The collection, held last Saturday, was organised by officials from the Swaffham and Litcham Home Hospice and raised a total of £504.71.

Treasurer, Adrian Adcock, said: "“ Once again, the people of Swaffham and the surrounding villages have supported our charity and given freely.

"My thanks also to my team of collectors for all their help."

The hospice, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, needs to raise around £100,000 a year to continue its work supporting patients with cancer and other life threatening illnesses, their families and carers.
