More than half a tonne of food was gathered during a three-day collection at a Swaffham supermarket.

Members of the town's Lions club, pictured above, led the charity effort at the Tesco store in Brocks Road.

The collection supported the Mid Norfolk Foodbank, which helps families in need in Swaffham, Dereham and Fakenham.

More than 120 kilograms of food was collected on the first day alone, rising to 566 kilograms at the end of the three days. Non-food items, including sanitary products, shower gels and washing up liquid were also supplied.
