One of Swaffham Rotary Club’s community and vocational committees current projects is to attack the problem of the litter being left all over the town.

Due to the size of the town, two areas will be covered initially and, in addition, the committee will respond to further problem areas brought to their attention by the public.

The two areas are Cley Road, down to and including Wolferton Drive, covered by Rotary Club president Denis Bishop and Cley Road/Campingland covered by Malcolm Whittley, pictured above, who is also the club’s environment officer.

Mr Whittley said that the areas of litter varied in location and intensity, but if any member of the public saw an area needing attention they should telephone him on 01760 72111 or email malcolmwhittley@yahoo.co.uk so that the club and its committee can attend to it.
