Biagio’s tearoom in East Rudham enjoys successful start since opening doors earlier this year
A village tearoom has been packed out since opening earlier this year and has lots of plans for the festive period.
Biagio’s, an Italian tearoom based in East Rudham, is run by Alex Biagioni and her partner Tony.
Alex told the Lynn News how successful the tearoom, which serves Italian coffee and other hot drinks as well as a selection of sandwiches, jacket potatoes, waffles and specials, has been so far.
“It’s been super busy, we have had wonderful support from the community, it’s so lovely that people are choosing to come here,” said Alex.
The Biagio’s team, which first opened its doors on September 11, is planning to open on Christmas Day for a turkey sandwich lunch for people who live alone and want some company.
Alex added: “A lot of people in the village live alone or have lost husbands or wives, so they can come in for Christmas.
“We are trying to do the best we can for the local people.”
Once a month, Biagio’s holds a themed evening. Last month’s was a hog roast night, this month’s is a pie night and December’s is cheese and wine.
The tearoom is also planning to hold a Christmas movie night for children.
More information about upcoming events can be found on Biagio’s Facebook page.
