Teenager suffers 'life-threatening injuries' in West Norfolk crash

A teenager is in hospital with what police have described as "life-threatening injuries" following a crash in a West Norfolk village.

A teenage driver has also been arrested in connection with the incident in Middleton last night.

Police say they were called to Station Road, Middleton, near its junction with Hill Road, shortly before 8pm on Wednesday, following reports that a dark Ford Fiesta had left the carriageway and overturned before coming to rest in a field.

A 17-year-old passenger in the car was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Lynn with "life-threatening injuries."

The driver and another passenger, also 17, sustained minor injuries.

Anyone who saw the incident, or who has information about it, is asked to contact the Swaffham Roads and Armed Policing Team via the non-emergency 101 number, quoting incident number 432 of April 22.
