Police bike escorts children through King's Lynn

School children from Lynn's Greyfriars Academy enjoyed a performance of pantomime Beauty and the Beast at Alive Corn Exchange, in Lynn, this morning.

Not only that, they had a police bike escort as they walked back to their school through the streets of Lynn.

PC Andy Wise, the beat manager for Gaywood, Fairstead and Reffley was present to escort the children back to school safely.

His electric bike can reach speeds of 15 miles per hour.

Headteacher Beverly Barrett and assistant head Suzie Allen organised the escort for the children with their high vis jackets on so that their return journey walking was safe.

School performances at the Corn Exchange of Beauty and the Beast are being enjoyed by local students arriving in coaches that are parking in the Tuesday Market Place.
