Thursday night’s awards ceremony saw the Shining Stars of Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital staff celebrated for their dedication and hard work throughout the past year.
Organised by the hospital’s NHS Foundation Trust, the annual awards recognise and reward hospital staff for their outstanding work.
This year, Lynn News readers were among those asked to make nominations for The Patients First Award, a category which was exclusively open to nominations from members of the public. On the night, the award went to Sam Lyddiatt, an occupational therapist from The Stroke Unit. Her nominator said: “She is an outstanding example of someone who is a great representative of the hospital, and who definitely puts her patients first.”
The awards, which were held on Thursday night at the Dukes Head Hotel, in Lynn’s Tuesday Market Place, saw the winners of nine awards announced.
