Hunstanton residents continue to face issues with nightmare neighbour

Hunstanton residents continue to face an untidy outlook as no action has been taken to clear the mess in a neighbour’s garden.

One resident has said that “things are getting worse” since she last reported the ongoing issues to the police, West Norfolk Council and Norfolk County Council.

At Hunstanton Town Council’s full meeting last Wednesday, one resident returned after attending October’s meeting where she said her and other residents are living “in hell”.

As well as unwanted objects and an overgrown garden, the resident has said that loud dogs barking on the property next door to her has been “non-stop”.

The resident said: “Nothing is being done about this, the police are not going round. It’s a laugh.”

She said the issue has been going on for five years and that she hasn’t had any help from West Norfolk Council to stop the anti-social behaviour.

The resident also claimed her neighbour drives an untaxed and uninsured car.

However, Hunstanton mayor Michael Ruston reassured her that he will be looking into resolving the issue for her.

Cllr Ruston said: “It is worth attacking this from another direction.”

He suggested speaking to the planning committee to see if they could help resolve the issue.

Last month, the resident shared photos with the Lynn News of the “untidy” outlook.
