Kissed by Vultures win coveted slot at next year’s King’s Lynn Festival Too

It was third time lucky for a three-piece band which on Saturday won the hotly contested Battle of the Bands competition.

Held at Hunstanton on The Green, Kissed By Vultures took the honours - and said afterwards on their Facebook page they were “beyond excited” to scoop the prized slot of appearing on stage at next year’s prestigious Festival Too in Lynn.

The trio of Scott, Steve and James said finally, after three attempts, they won the competition. The alternative post punk rock group were up against Lara Price, Page 394, Penny Alpine and Routine - with Radio West Norfolk’s Simon Rowe compering the event.

They said it was an incredible day of original music and the win “means the world”.

Formed in 2020 just before lockdown, the band have been busy practicing, gigging and recording.

They have played at various Lynn venues including the White Hart and the Maid’s Head, as well as gigs at Hunstanton and Wisbech Rock Festival in previous years.

Crowds gathered to watch the popular contest organised by West Norfolk Council, Radio West Norfolk and Festival Too. The competition was open to musicians with roots in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.
