Three charged after snowdrops stolen from grounds of Walsingham Abbey

Police investigating the theft of snowdrops in Walsingham have charged three people.

Officers stopped a car on the A148 at Little Walsingham at about 2am on Wednesday, March 13 and found a large number of snowdrops.

Subsequent enquiries established they had been stolen from the grounds of Walsingham Abbey.

Three men have been charged with theft and criminal damage.

They are:

  • Louis Stoker, aged 22 and of Walton Road in East Winch
  • Peter Gibbs, aged 30 and of Colvile Road in Newton-in-the-Isle in Fenland
  • Stefan Simpson, aged 30 and of Lilac Close in Wisbech

All three have been released on police bail to appear at King's Lynn Magistrates Court on Monday, March 25.
