Three hurt following crash on A47 in West Norfolk




Three people have been injured following a crash on the A47 in West Norfolk this morning.

Seven vehicles are reported to have been involved in three separate collisions on the westbound side of the route near Terrington St John.

Norfolk Police said officers were initially called to an incident involving three cars at 6.36am today.

A force spokesman said a second crash occurred immediately afterwards and a third incident was subsequently reported.

The injured people were treated at the scene by paramedics, but are not believed to have been seriously hurt.

Parts of the road's central reservation were damaged by the incidents and the carriageway was closed for a time.

Police said the road was clear by around 8.45am.
