Three-vehicle crash on A47 in Wisbech saw one person arrested

A man was arrested after three vehicles were involved in a crash on a main road.

Police were called at 5.39pm on Friday to a stretch of the A47 from Elm Hall Roundabout in Wisbech towards Lynn following reports of a three-vehicle collision.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene, including paramedics.

One man, aged in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of failing to provide a specimen of breath and taken to Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Paulius Paskevicius, 29, of Hemingford Crescent in Peterborough, was later charged with failing to provide a specimen of breath.

He has been released on bail and is due to appear at Lynn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 21.
