Thumbs up for Watlington Medical Centre
Patients have shown their satisfaction with the service provided by Watlington Medical Centre in Rowan Close.
The National GP Survey results showed a successful satisfaction rate with 95 per cent of patients describing their overall experience of this West Norfolk GP practice as good.
Dr Ankit Kant, GP partner said: "This is a huge achievement given one of the most challenging years in the NHS to date.
"We have done lots of innovative things in this time, this includes working with the general public in order to organise the 3D printing of masks, introducing a delivery service for medications to our most vulnerable patients well before there was any nationally agreed plan to even fund this, and remaining open throughout the pandemic."
"We have worked closely with the council, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital as well as contributing on a national scale. We have taken part in the vaccination programme, with one of our most senior members of staff administering the Covid-19 vaccine to the most number of patients in the Fens and Brecks locality."
Patients responded to questions such as how easy it is to get through to the GP practice by phone, the ease of making an appointment, and managing long term conditions with the support received being described as good.
Patient surveys can be found online and a percentage rate of roughly 50 per cent of patients completing the surveys has been found.
