Pupils and staff from the Tilney St Lawrence Primary School are pictured taking part in their annual Christingle service.
The event was held at the village’s St Laurence church on Wednesday and featured a traditional Nativity play, which was performed by children from the Reception and Year one groups.
Pupils in years five and six gave readings, while other year groups sang a range of carols.
Each child was also given an orange, which represents the earth in the Christingle service, containing a candle which is said to represent Jesus.
The church lights were gradually turned off as all of the candles were lit.
Originally a German custom, the Christingle service was introduced into the Church of England in the late 1960s. MLNF14AF12227
