People in West Norfolk are being encouraged to sign up for the second Walk to Remember event at Sandringham next weekend, in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The 10 kilometre walk will take place on the royal estate next Saturday, August 15, from 6pm, and is one of 17 such events being held around the country this summer in aid of the charity.
Paul Fleet, community fundraiser for Marie Curie in Norfolk, said: “It’s a great opportunity to get together with friends and family, and think of loved ones that have passed away, whilst taking in some of the country’s beautiful scenery.
“By signing up, you’ll be helping Marie Curie provide expert care, guidance and support to help people living with a terminal illness get the most from their time.”
Registration is £10 in advance for adults and £20 on the day. It is free for under 16s to take part.
Meanwhile, volunteers are also needed to help with marshalling, car parking, registration and giving out water to walkers during the event.
Anyone who can help is asked to contact Mr Fleet on 07798 638092 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Would-be participants can register by visiting www.mariecurie.org.uk/walktoremember or phoning 0845 0524184.
