King’s Lynn Montessori Nursery pupils get ready to do good deed in 1998
In our weekly Memory Lane Schooldays feature, we take a look back at a good deed by some youngsters in 1998…
These caring youngsters at Lynn’s Montessori Nursery were getting ready in June 1998 to take part in a sponsored “pedal push” in aid of Childline.
When a similar fundraiser was held the previous year, about £500 was collected for the charity, thanks to the support of families and friends of the children.
The children, aged from two-and-a-half to five, met at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital social club in Lynn every weekday morning and afternoon.
They were looked after by supervisor Alisa Askew (pictured left), teacher Emma Taylor-Lane (second from left) and assistants Swineetha Well (second from right) and Amba Mansfield-Osborne (right).
